Morocco Aims to Restore 72% of Pre-Pandemic Air Capacity This Summer

Morocco’s air capacity will be around 3.5 million seats for the period from June 15 to September 30, 2021, announces the Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) which intends to deploy all its energies to relaunch the tourism sector.
According to the figures forecast by the ONMT, from June 15 to September 30, 2021, the air capacity can reach 3.5 million seats, or 72% of its capacity during the same period in 2019, before the Covid-19 pandemic.
To achieve this ambition, the ONMT teams in Morocco and its delegations abroad have been negotiating for several months with airlines, tour operators and distribution networks around the world in order to revitalize Morocco’s air capacity, according to a press release from the Office.
The ONMT is pleased with the confidence of Moroccan and international airlines which base their hopes of recovery on the proven resilience of Morocco and its attractiveness, but also the performance of its strategy for managing the health crisis and the vaccination campaign.
In this same perspective, a special edition of the television program TMD "Tourism Marketing Days" will take place on Monday, in anticipation of the resumption on June 15 of flights to and from the Kingdom of Morocco, as part of the easing measures.
Titled "TMD Sky-Restart", this exceptional program will be produced from the Mohammed V airport in Casablanca, to inform and raise awareness about the system deployed by the Office for a rapid and secure relaunch of the tourism sector.
Scheduled for 9 a.m., the program, which will be broadcast on the YouTube channel and all ONMT information and communication channels, will feature the participation of the Moroccan National Confederation of Tourism, ONDA, Royal Air Maroc as well as international partners such as Ryanair, Transavia, NG Travel and FTI.
