Moroccans Protest Israeli Actions at Al-Aqsa Mosque During Ramadan

In Morocco, more than 40 demonstrations were held last Friday in the kingdom to denounce the daily incursions and attacks against the Al-Aqsa Mosque by the Israeli forces, during this month of Ramadan.

Responding to the call of several associations, Moroccans organized more than 40 sit-ins in more than 27 cities, simultaneously, after the Friday and Tarawih prayers. In a statement relayed by the Al-3omq website, the association declared that the protesters expressed their solidarity with the Al-Aqsa Mosque and their categorical rejection of "normalization with the Israeli occupation", "which did not observe the sacred nature of Ramadan to attack the Al-Aqsa Mosque and the inhabitants of Jerusalem".

The Moroccan Authority for Supporting the Causes of the Nation also thanked the Moroccan people and saluted the Palestinian people "who are on the front line of direct confrontation with the occupying entity for the defense of the sacred character of the Islamic nation".

The Israeli forces have attacked the worshippers of the Al-Aqsa Mosque in recent days, within the precincts of the place of worship and on its esplanades. On Friday, two new rockets were fired from the Palestinian enclave of Gaza towards Israel. All these clashes have left more than 200 Palestinian injured.
