Moroccan Women’s Soccer Club President Banned for Life over Player Blackmail Scandal

Women’s football in Morocco is in turmoil with cases of blackmail, match-fixing and harassment. The Ethics Commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) has suspended for life Mustapha El Haya, president of Rajae Zohour de Safi, a club playing in the women’s football championship.
It was in a press release issued on Monday, July 12, on its website, that the Royal Moroccan Football Federation announced the lifetime suspension of the president of the women’s football team, Rajae Zohour de Safi. Mustapha El Haya had been found guilty of blackmailing certain players, according to the FRMF Ethics Commission.
The Commission is used to handing down this type of sentence against football leaders, based on complaints filed by many footballers, accusing their leaders of blackmail and fraud.
The FRMF has been forced to clean up in order to give women’s football a chance to blossom and reveal all its potential.
