Moroccan Winger Oussama Idrissi Signs with Mexico’s Pachuca in Last-Minute Transfer

Oussama Idrissi has joined the Mexican club of Pachuca, after a last-minute transfer that was concluded in the final hours of the summer transfer window. The Moroccan winger arrived a few days ago in La Bella Airosa and was presented to the public on Monday.
Released by Sevilla FC before the end of his contract which ran until 2025, Oussama Idrissi signed as a free agent with the Mexican club before the transfer window closed on September 13. The player has already trained with the Tuzos and was presented on Monday evening on the pitch of the Hidalgo stadium during halftime of the match against Santos Laguna.
Christian Giménez, a former Pachuca player and father of Santiago Giménez, the star player of Feyenoord, Idrissi’s last loan club, played a key role in the negotiation between the Tuzos and the young player, reports Criterio. The Mexican club was looking for strikers and talent and agreed to sign the Moroccan left winger for two years.
Last season, Idrissi scored four goals and provided six assists in 1,427 minutes of play at Feyenoord. The 27-year-old Moroccan international started his career in 2015 at Groningen in the Netherlands, then joined AZ Alkmaar where he played from 2018 to 2020, before arriving at Sevilla where he only stayed for six months. In 2021, he was loaned to Ajax, then to Cadiz the following season and to Feyenoord in 2022-2023.
