Moroccan Union Leader Arrested for Filming and Sharing Military COVID Hospital Video
A union leader, a member of the Justice and Development Party (PJD), has been arrested. Prosecuted under arrest, he is accused of disseminating a video of the military hospital in Benguerir, disclosure of professional secrecy and contempt of the military institution.
This trade unionist from the National Union of Moroccan Workers (UNMT) filmed the field hospital specialized in Covid-19 and located inside the military base of Benguerir, reports the daily Assabah.
After the facts, the accused disseminated this video on his Facebook page. Arrested by a special brigade of the regional gendarmerie command, the provincial secretary general of the health union affiliated with the UNMT was placed in detention.
Referred on July 2, his hearing was postponed to this Friday, July 10. The King’s Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance in Marrakech indicted him for disclosure of professional secrecy and contempt of the military institution.
