Moroccan Triathlete Abdelmoula Clinches Gold at European Cup in Turkey

Moroccan athlete Jawad Abdelmoula won the gold medal in the 2022 European Triathlon Cup in Yenisehir, Turkey on Sunday.
The Moroccan managed to prevail, notably thanks to his specialty event, running. He finished the multisport race in 51:10 minutes in the elite men’s category, two seconds ahead of Hungarian Casongor Lehmann and four seconds ahead of German Henry Graf.
"Looking at his racing style, it was clear that Abdelmoula had the least difficulty and was eager to put in a nice final sprint. And that’s exactly what happened, as a few hundred meters from the finish, Abdelmoula took off," enthused Triathlon Today magazine.
Currently 78th in the world rankings and 2nd in Africa, according to the world triathlon organization, Jawad Abdelmoula won the gold medal at the Asia Triathlon Cup in Qatar a week after winning the Africa Triathlon Cup in Dakhla. In October, the Moroccan had won the gold medal at the Tongyeong, South Korea Triathlon "World Cup".
