Moroccan TikTok Influencer Jailed for 8 Months Over ’Indecent’ Content

A Moroccan influencer, known on TikTok under the pseudonym "Moulat L3ach3ouch", was sentenced to eight months in prison by the court of first instance in Guercif.
The verdict was handed down this Monday, following her placement in pre-trial detention about ten days ago, ordered by the public prosecutor’s office. She had then been transferred to the local prison in Taza.
The case began with an investigation by the judicial police services. "Moulat L3ach3ouch" was accused of several counts, including the dissemination of content deemed indecent, exhibitionism and obscenity.
She was also prosecuted for having "given a bad example to the public" and for having disseminated false information in order to harm the privacy of certain people and to defame them.
