Moroccan ’Tattooed Girl’ Jailed for Alleged Theft and Gang Involvement

Khadija, "the poor tattooed girl" is back before the courts. She has been detained in the local prison of Beni Mellal for her "involvement in a case of theft and the constitution of a criminal gang".
The information was confirmed by Khadija’s father. He stated that his daughter was arrested during the month of Ramadan. Prosecuted on provisional release with two other people, she was summoned by the court of Beni Mellal, whose investigating judge decided to order her incarceration for theft and the constitution of a criminal gang, reports Alyaoum24.
According to the same source, this court has not yet ruled on the so-called "tattooed girl" case, in which 12 people are being prosecuted for "rape, kidnapping, tattooing and human trafficking". A scandal that has moved the whole world, after "the dissemination of photos and videos on social networks showing her with cigarette burns and tattoos on various parts of her body". Khadidja has gained the esteem of Moroccans who did not hesitate to demand justice for her.
With her involvement in a case that destroys all the innocence that the aggression she suffered had conferred on her, will Khadija continue "to benefit from the unconditional solidarity and support of the past"? The question remains open.
