Moroccan Taekwondo Champion Reaches Spain Illegally, Discards Medal in Sea

In a short video widely shared on social networks, Anouar Boukharsa is now signaling his presence in Spain. The young Moroccan Taekwondo champion has even thrown one of his medals into the sea, after reaching the Iberian peninsula.
More and more Moroccan athletes are taking the path of illegal migration to reach the other shore, which is nothing other than Spain, the promised land, according to several of them.
Thus, in Safi, several Moroccans, particularly in the ranks of athletes, have already left the Kingdom through illegal means.
Hicham Kellouch, a former Atlas Lion, appeared in a photo on board a boat heading towards the Iberian peninsula. Before him, Atlas Lioness Meriem Bouhid and Ali Hababa, also a former footballer of Olympique de Safi, chose to join Spain.
Internet users did not hide their distress at this flight of talent, for lack of support from the authorities. The lack of an integration policy for former athletes would be at the root of this phenomenon, they criticize.
Indeed, these former athletes who sink into precariousness are mostly abandoned to their sad fate, after having nevertheless won everything for the Kingdom.
