Moroccan Taekwondo Champion Struggles with Illegal Status in Spain

The Moroccan Taekwondo champion, Anouar Boukharsa, contrary to rumors, still lives illegally in Spain, awaiting the precious permit to move freely.
The athlete who made a buzz in a video by throwing his national Taekwondo champion medal was able to clandestinely reach Spain on board the death boat, except that he is not yet at the end of his troubles.
The other challenge to face is to stay in this host country by obtaining the legal documents.
According to Hespress, the athlete is still trying to get in touch "with an association to help him adapt to his new environment". Bourkhasa is going through "very difficult" conditions.
Without support but now living with his sister in the Granada region, the champion with many medals is still waiting to complete the procedures with the Moroccan Consulate in Madrid to obtain a passport, he told the same source.
However, he refutes the rumors that he has acquired Spanish nationality and is living normally in Spain. "It’s a lie. I’m still alone without a passport and I don’t have any administrative documents, which makes me anxious."
Even though he regrets having caused so much buzz before joining the "Eldorado", he is not disappointed with his choice to leave Morocco and criticizes the material and moral marginalization that affects champions in Morocco.
"I regret having wasted a lot of time in Morocco. And all the buzz has not yielded any results and no association has contacted me to carry out the administrative procedures. I should not have made all this buzz."
