Moroccan Surgeons Successfully Remove Spinal Cord Tumor in Ouarzazate Hospital
Another exploit to the credit of Moroccan surgeons. This is the successful removal of a spinal cord tumor performed at the Sidi Hsain Benacceur Provincial Hospital Center (CHP) in Ouarzazate.
It was neurosurgeon Jamal Oumlal and a team of nurses who carried out this "delicate" surgical procedure on a 60-year-old patient suffering from a tumor in the spinal cord. The Ouarzazate Provincial Hospital Center welcomed this new success in a press release. "The operation went well and without complications," it said.
The same press release announced that an emergency surgical intervention for the extraction of a large bladder stone from a 13-year-old child was also successfully carried out at the Sidi Hsain Benacceur Provincial Hospital Center in Ouarzazate, by the pediatric surgeon, Dr. Rachid Ikhlek and a nursing staff.
