Moroccan Surfer Ramzi Boukhiam Makes History, Qualifies for Championship Tour
Ramzi Boukhiam is the first Moroccan surfer to qualify for the Championship Tour (CT), announced the WSL Tours and Competition team.
The Moroccan surfer is thus realizing his dream after obtaining good results in the CS, reaching the quarter-finals at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast Pro, a ninth place at the Vans US Open of Surfing and a second place at the Saquarema Corona Pro. "It’s the result of ten years of preparation doing only Junior Pro and QS. It’s also proof that you can always achieve your goals if you work hard," said Boukhiam.
And he added: "I am very proud of myself and I therefore want to show the Moroccan people and the new generation of surfers that we have what it takes. The message I want to convey is a message of hope and faith. I did it for myself and for all of you."
