Moroccan Students Stranded, Unable to Return to China for Studies

While Moroccan students in Europe are allowed to return to their schools a few weeks before the next school year, those in China are stuck in Morocco. They are calling on the authorities for help.
There are a thousand students living in several Chinese cities facing this difficulty. The reason? Travel procedures to this Asian country. According to the coordinator of the group of Moroccan students in China, Nizar Orhai, distance learning has shown its limits due to the 7-hour time difference. "That’s why they absolutely have to go back to China to be able to resume their studies," he confides to Hespress.
Faced with this situation, he says he has "contacted the Chinese embassy in Morocco, the Moroccan embassy in China and the office of external relations". Without success. "We have not received any response to date, while students from other countries like India and Pakistan have received responses and have been able to obtain travel facilities," laments the young student. He pleads for travel facilities so that all Moroccan students in China can continue their studies as they should.
King Mohammed VI had ordered the repatriation of Moroccan students from Wuhan after the emergence of Covid-19. These students are now awaiting the help of the authorities of the kingdom to return to China.
