Air Arabia Flight Cancellation Strands Moroccan Students at Kiev Airport for 12 Hours

About forty Moroccan students were blocked for more than 12 hours at Boryspil airport in Kiev. The Air Arabia airline canceled their flight at the last minute for technical reasons.
The passengers arrived at the airport around 10 pm on Thursday, recounts a Moroccan student in Ukraine. After check-in formalities, the airline announced, on two occasions, a delay of more than 30 minutes, due to a technical problem.
After 45 minutes of flight, another announcement from the crew informs them that the aircraft must turn back for the same reasons, adds the same source. The 43 students then found themselves lost in the maze of the airport, especially since the company had stamped their passports with the exit stamp from the international zone.
Abandoned to their fate, the students had to spend a sleepless night at Kiev airport, without any assistance from Air Arabia, the Moroccan student points out. Even the Moroccan Embassy in Ukraine refused to intervene, due, it says, to the state of health emergency.
