Moroccan Striker Walid Azarou Joins UAE’s Ajman Club in Free Transfer from Saudi Arabia

Moroccan international Walid Azarou has been transferred from Saudi Arabia to the United Arab Emirates. In a press release, the Ajman club announced that it has signed a contract with the Moroccan player.
"We announce our contract with the Moroccan striker Walid Azarou as part of a free transfer agreement, coming from the Saudi club Ettifaq". According to the statement from the Emirati club, the contract that binds the player to the Saudi club has been terminated six months before the end.
With the Al-Ittifaq club, Walid Azarou played 49 matches, scored 14 goals and provided 6 assists. His contract was terminated by mutual agreement after the arrival of Youssouf Niakaté, the former striker of Al-Ittihad. Many expected the Moroccan player to choose Al-Shabab who had shown interest in him to make up for the departure of Odion Ighalo to Al Hilal. But he preferred to play for Ajman, who offered him a better financial offer, reports Hespress.
Before Saudi Arabia, Walid Azarou made his debut in Egypt where he scored 41 goals and provided 16 assists in 89 matches.
