Moroccan Star Ziyech Donates €17,000 for Rare Disease Research, Launches Fundraiser

Moroccan international Hakim Ziyech has come to the aid of a young Moroccan suffering from a rare disease, donating 17,000 euros. The Atlas Lion has also launched a fundraiser to finance medical research.
Sofiane, a 22-year-old Moroccan living in the Netherlands, suffers from a rare condition affecting the peripheral nerves. To advance scientific research, Hakim Ziyech has decided, with the help of 3 teammates, to set up a kitty.
The young Sofiane had just left the set of a Dutch television channel when he was pleasantly surprised by a call from the Chelsea midfielder. He announced the news to the young man, assuring him of his full support.
Well known for his charitable actions, Hakim Ziyech had previously donated 2 million dirhams to a Moroccan cancer-fighting association. Before that, he had helped a Dutch footballer who was the victim of a traffic accident.
