Moroccan Star Hamdallah Sidelined: Al-Ittihad’s Top Scorer to Miss Final Matches

The Moroccan striker of the Saudi club Al-Ittihad Jeddah, Abderrazak Hamdallah will not participate in the last two matches of the Tigers due to hamstring injuries.
Abderrazak Hamdallah has suffered hamstring injuries. As a result, he will not be able to participate in the last two matches of his club Al Ittihad Jeddah this season, against Damac and Al Nassr. A tough blow for the Saudi club deprived of its striker who has accumulated very good performances. With 19 goals scored this season, he is the top scorer of Ittihad FC. The Moroccan international helped his club win the Saudi Super Cup against Al Hilal (4-1) in April.
It is unlikely that Hamdallah will be called up for the Atlas Lions’ matches against Zambia and Congo scheduled in June as part of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers that will be co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The Moroccan striker and Walid Regragui do not have good relations. In an interview with journalist Khaled Yassine on his YouTube channel, he said all the bad things he thinks about the coach of the Moroccan national team. "I blame Regragui for only playing me for half a game after the 2022 World Cup in the match against Cape Verde, which remains a strong team. He had replaced me immediately after the end of the first half," he confided.
The 33-year-old player does not digest the little playing time that Regragui gives him. He "called me up for friendly matches and did not include me. [...] So how could we judge me, especially since I play an important role in the Saudi club of Al Ittihad and score goals?" he wondered. He has a hard time understanding the fate reserved for him within the national team. "All the top scorers and strikers of the Saudi league clubs go to the national team, except Hamadallah. I only had a chance recently with the national team, but my best periods were with Badou Zaki," added the second all-time top scorer in the Saudi league with over 130 goals.
