Moroccan Star Belhanda Blasts National Coach, Cites Tensions with Halilhodzic

Moroccan international Younès Belhanda, who plays for Adana Demirspor in the Turkish league, spoke about the tensions with coach Vahid Halilhodzic and his dispute with his former teammate Abderrazak Hamdallah.
The attacking midfielder, who has not been called up to the national team since, once again let loose on the coach during an interview on Twitter, hosted by DM Sport. "The problem with the national team is Vahid, yes he is the problem. I haven’t given up on the national team, he is not eternal, so I could come back but only if he is not the coach," he said.
Addressing the falling out that occurred during the preparation of the Atlas Lions for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt with his former teammate, Abderrazak Hamdallah, the former Montpellier player confirmed that there had indeed been a clash.
"He is a player like any other. He arrived in the group after a qualifying phase where he was absent, when you’re new, you try to find your place quietly, there is a hierarchy. There was just a heated argument between us during a training session," he revealed.
