The Moroccan international, Rachid Alioui, after having saved his team, Angers, during the match against FC Toulouse with a brace, repeated the feat with Amiens, scoring a superb goal.

Rachid Alioui continues to impress at Angers. The Atlas Lions player has once again made headlines. The central pillar of the team was the hero of the evening by saving his own. After the opposing team’s goal, the former Nîmes player equalized with a huge 20-meter shot under the bar (83rd), reports Hespress.

The coach did not fail to give his impressions of his protégé’s performance: "We knew there was danger, especially at that distance. He has a shot above average. He hits so hard. The further the free kick, the more danger there is," he added.

For his part, the first recruit of SCO during this summer transfer window commented calmly on his performance: "It’s true that on free kicks, from afar, I may be more effective than from close up. It’s one of my most developed qualities but it’s something I’ve worked a lot on," he began.

He then continued: "It’s something that needs to be worked on and there’s always a need to work on it, in my opinion, in order to be as consistent as possible. Set pieces are always important in a match," he noted.

With four goals to his name since the start of this season, Rachid Alioui has been enrolled in Angers’ squad since this summer until 2022, after experiencing a meteoric rise at Nîmes where he spent three years.

In his first season with the Crocos, he managed to score 13 goals and provide 6 assists in 26 matches, making him the club’s top scorer and second-best passer.

For the double confrontation in a friendly against Libya and Gabon, on October 11 and 15 respectively, the Moroccan could well be on the list of the Atlas Lions coach, the same source indicates.
