Moroccan Star Adel Taarabt Reflects on Career Choices and Missed Opportunities in English Football

In an interview with the English magazine FourFourTwo, the Moroccan international Adel Taarabt looks back on his time in England and expresses some regrets about his career.
Now enrolled in Benfica’s squad where he has been playing with good results, the former Tottenham player, in an interview with an English magazine, mentioned a memorable memory of his time in England.
In his interview, the Atlas Lion, who was renowned for his immense talent, could have played for big clubs like Barça or Real Madrid. If this dream could not be realized, he blames himself, preferring not to condemn other people. "If it didn’t happen, it’s not just because of others but mostly because of me," he says.
In this regard, friends he met along the way did not fail to praise his talent, confirming this beautiful reality that would have allowed him to be revealed even more. "If you had talked to everyone who knew me when I was young, most of them would have told you that I could play for Barça or Real. Even Modrić told me that once," said Adel Taarabt, the current Benfica striker.
Moreover, the Moroccan national team player, recalled to the national team under the leadership of Vahid Halilhodžić after five years of absence, said he had received a message a few months ago from Raheem Sterling, in which the Manchester City player said that Adel Taarabt was his idol.
