Moroccan Sports Journalist Arrested for Drug Trafficking, Police Seize 10 Kilos of Cannabis

The Casablanca police arrested, on Tuesday, May 19, a sports journalist, for his alleged involvement in a drug trafficking network.
Arrested during a check by the tourist police, the man was hiding a large quantity of cannabis resin in his car, estimated at more than 10 kilos, according to the site Akhbarona.
The individual was taking advantage of the derogatory travel certificate issued by his employer to travel between cities and transport the drugs to dealers in Casablanca and Rabat.
The suspect was placed in custody at the disposal of the Attorney General’s Office, pending the determination of the circumstances of the case and the persons involved in this criminal network.
