Moroccan Social Media Star Dies at 31 After Battle with Rare Sun Sensitivity Disease

Fatima Ezzahra Ghazaoui, 31, a Moroccan social media star, lost her battle against Xeroderma pigmentosum, a rare genetic disease that causes extreme sensitivity to ultraviolet radiation, prohibiting any exposure to the sun.
Fatima Ezzahra Ghazaoui died from severe anemia caused by her illness, which she had been fighting for months, reports Morocco World News. Her death has moved all of Morocco. Online, public figures, celebrities and ordinary citizens have expressed their sincere condolences to the family of the illustrious deceased and have expressed their deep sadness.
Fatima Ezzahra Ghazaoui was born in 1992. Two years later, her parents discover that she is suffering from Xeroderma pigmentosum (children of the moon syndrome), a rare genetic disease characterized by extreme skin sensitivity to the sun and eye disorders.
