5,000 Moroccans become homeowners thanks to government assistance

Out of the 54,000 housing assistance applications registered on the dedicated platform, 5,000 have already been approved, announced Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri, the Minister of Housing.
These 5,000 first-time buyers will soon take possession of the amount of direct assistance already paid to their notary, as well as their property worth less than 300,000 dirhams or between 300,000 and 700,000 dirhams.
"This new social program is based on a national production estimated at 114,000 social housing units. Our department has set the objective of subsidizing between 60,000 and 70,000 housing units by the end of 2024," said Fatima Ezzahra El Mansouri to Médias24.
The minister has no doubt that future buyers will continue to show interest in acquiring one of the 114,000 properties that will be sold, specifying that all these applicants should be satisfied by 2026.
