Moroccan Soccer Referee’s Lifetime Ban Overturned on Appeal

The appeal commission of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF) overturned, on Thursday, the decision of the central disciplinary commission to suspend the referee Hicham Tiazi for life.
Hicham Tiazi is back on the highly coveted list of referees registered with the FRMF. This decision follows the cancellation of the one ordering his suspension. The decision has been referred back to the central disciplinary commission to re-analyze the facts, in accordance with the procedures in force in the disciplinary code of the refereeing body, as well as the statutes of the referee and refereeing of the FRMF, explained the FRMF, in a press release published on its website.
Hicham Tiazi was suspended for life for his controversial decisions during the match that pitted Olympique de Khouribga against Youssoufia de Berrechid, for the 10th day of the Botola Pro D1.
During this match between OCK-OCS, the referee had notably whistled four penalties, three of which in favor of the Khouribguis, who won 4-1 in the end.
