Moroccan Soccer Club Faces Player Strike Over Unpaid Wages

The specter of the strike is looming again over the Mouloudia d’Oujda club. Deprived of their salaries and bonuses, the players threaten to hang up their cleats while the leaders reassure as best they can.
The club’s coffers would be empty again and the players have, once again, threatened to interrupt training due to unpaid salaries and bonuses, reports Al Massae, specifying that they have questioned their coach before the last trip to Mohammedia.
Some have even demanded to meet the club president Mohamed Houar, before the bus left on Sunday in the middle of the day, the newspaper points out.
However, the club has reassured about the continuity of activities and even training. According to a member of the staff, they are aware of the responsibility incumbent on them. He ruled out the scenario of another interruption of training.
In addition, four players from the club are absent from the gathering for various reasons. These are Saad Lamti and Ayoub Moudden not yet recovered from injury, as well as the two foreigners of the club, the Algerian Badreddine Souyad and the Libyan Shamikh El Obaidi who are still blocked abroad. The club officials are even considering terminating the contract of the latter two due to their poor performance during the first half of the Botola.
