Moroccan Singer Saad Lamjarred Considers Legal Action Against Radio Station Over Song Airplay

Moroccan pop star Saad Lamjarred could file a complaint against Hit Radio, which is broadcasting his songs after previously stopping to do so due to the case pitting the singer against a rape accuser in France.
Is Saad Lamjarred angry with Hit Radio? According to Arab media sources, the Moroccan singer was upset by the radio’s decision to broadcast his songs, after having stopped doing so since 2016 after his arrest in France for a rape case. In February 2023, the singer was sentenced to six years in prison by the Paris Assize Court in a trial opposing him to Laura Prioul, a French woman.
Saad Lamjarred could take legal action against the radio if it did not stop broadcasting his songs, the same sources add.
Recently, Lamjarred released a single titled Carrousel. A collaboration with the Belgian-Moroccan Enesse, which has only accumulated around 600,000 views on YouTube due to the restrictions imposed by the platform, according to the singer. But this drop in the number of views is far from dampening the singer’s morale. "What I feel in my concerts cannot be described or compared to anything, it is an unmatched interaction with the numbers," reacted the performer of "Lem3allam" in an Instagram post. For him, the love of his fans is worth more than anything. "The most important thing is that our love remains, and I promise you that I will continue to work hard and diligently to offer more quality content," he added.
