Moroccan Screen Icon Khadija Assad Dies; King Mohammed VI Offers Condolences

King Mohammed VI sent a message of condolences to the family of the great artist the late Khadija Assad, who died last night from a long illness.
In this message, the Sovereign expressed his emotion and deep sorrow at the sad news of the artist’s passing, conveying his condolences to the family of the deceased, as well as to the national artistic family and the friends and admirers of Khadija Assad.
For the Sovereign, Khadija Assad was an icon of the Moroccan screen, recognized for her immense talent and performance in several major theatrical, television and cinematographic works, particularly those she interpreted alongside her husband and traveling companion, the late Abdelaziz Saadallah. These works have marked the local artistic scene and remain engraved in the memory and heart of the Moroccan public.
