Beloved Moroccan Actress Khadija Assad Dies at 70 After Cancer Battle

Moroccan actress and television great Khadija Assad lost her battle against cancer. She died on Wednesday evening at the age of 70, according to the announcement made by her family.
Widow of Aziz Saadallah, another great name in Moroccan television, who died in 2020, Khadija Assad was hospitalized in one of the private hospitals in Casablanca where she was undergoing treatment for cancer. A few hours before her death, her family asked to bring her home, as her body was no longer responding to the treatment. Since the announcement of her death, tributes are being paid to the deceased by artists, personalities and other sympathizers who have known her or who have known her, among others, through her role in the famous sitcom "Lalla Fatima".
"Sad for the departure of Khadija Assad. Lalla Khadija had an artistic career full of elegance and high artistic and human values. I knew her as smiling, generous and of great kindness," wrote the actor and comedian Hassan El Fad on Instagram.
