Moroccan Runner Wins Belgrade Marathon in Impressive 2:14:28 Time
Moroccan Lachgar Chakib was the big winner of the 36th edition of the Belgrade marathon. This marathon attracted more than 10,500 runners from around the world to compete over a distance of 42 kilometers.
Chakib was able to make the difference by delivering an exceptional performance in 2h14min28s, which allowed him to prevail over his competitors. This victory earned him a prize of 5,000 euros.
For her part, the Ethiopian Feyne Gudeto Gemeda won the women’s competition by crossing the finish line in 2h30min30s. Although she failed to beat the record held by the Romanian Cristana Pomac since 2001, her performance was applauded by the spectators present on site.
