Moroccan Runner Rababe Arafi Sets World-Leading Time in 1500m at Shanghai Diamond League

Moroccan athlete Rababe Arafi has just made headlines again. Indeed, last Saturday, during the second stage of the Diamond League in Shanghai, she won the 1500m, and in the most beautiful way.
No more doubt that Rababe Arafi is gradually weaving the fabric of a great champion by aligning performances that testify to her athletic qualities and her desire to progress. She just proved it again in Shanghai, signing the best performance of the year, with a time of 4 minutes and 1 seconds and 15/100ths, ahead of the Ethiopian Gudaf Tsegay (4:01.25) and the Ugandan Winnie Nanyondo (4:01.39).
We remember well, last year already, Rababe Arafi stood out especially by signing the third best female performance in the history of Morocco’s participation in the Intercontinental Athletics Cup. Since then, she has chained titles. This is how she won two gold medals at the last Mediterranean Games in June last year in Spain.
For this Diamond League competition, it should be noted that there are 9 meetings left, including one scheduled in Rabat. Other exploits and surprises will certainly come.
