Moroccan Runner Breaks Record in Coruña21 Half Marathon Victory

Hicham Sigueni won the Coruña21 (A Coruña - Spain) half marathon on Sunday with a time of 1h01m40. The athlete of Moroccan origin is the winner of the race for the second consecutive year.
Hicham Siguieni, who was defending his title, finished first in the Coruña21 half marathon this Sunday with a time of 1.01.40, a new record he has just set, ahead of the Kenyans Edwin Kipruto, Peter Kariuki and Kipyegon Nehemia who formed the leading group throughout the race. "When I won last year, I promised to come back to beat my record and I did it," Hicham rejoiced.
On the women’s side, the Kenyan Nancy Jepleting, who dominated the race from start to finish, won it with a time of 1h12m17, reports La Voz de Galicia. She is followed by the Galician athletes María Jesús Conde (Lugo), Sonia Abad (Ponteareas) and Inés Papín (Cambre).
