Moroccan Royal Family Dazzles in Traditional Attire at Spanish Monarchs’ State Dinner

The Royal Palace of Rabat has opened its doors wide to welcome the King of Spain Don Felipe and his wife Doña Letizia during their brief stay in Morocco. On this occasion, a gala evening was held in their honor on Wednesday evening, where we could see the princesses, dressed in their finest attire.
To accompany their guests, King Mohammed VI, accompanied by his son the Crown Prince Moulay Hassan, his brother Moulay Rachid, and Princesses Lalla Meryem, Lalla Hasnaa and Lalla Asmaa as well as Princess Oum Kaltoum Boufarès, offered an official dinner in honor of the Spanish sovereigns.
The princesses welcomed the guests in traditional outfits. Sumptuous caftans adorned with precious stones and with a silk and gold belt. In terms of accessories, the princesses opted for simplicity, fine and discreet jewelry, nothing better to highlight their outfits.
Queen Doña Letizia chose a long plain white dress over which she wore a semi-transparent tunic embroidered with silver sequins. We recognize an obvious Arab inspiration on the tunic.
Seated at a round table adorned with a large floral centerpiece of German irises, King Mohammed VI placed himself between Felipe VI and La Reina, who were able to taste the gastronomic delights of the country.
At the end of this dinner, King Mohammed VI took leave of his two guests.
