Spanish King’s Missteps During Morocco Visit Draw Media Attention

Spanish media did not fail to highlight certain gaffes by King Felipe VI during the official visit he just made to Morocco, accompanied by his wife Letizia. And the mockery is rife...
While he was with his wife at the Mohammed V mausoleum to pay his respects at the tombs of the late King Mohammed V and Hassan II, King Felipe VI of Spain almost stumbled. According to Elnacional: "King Felipe VI left more than one unfortunate image in his wake during his trip to Morocco. Nothing will overcome the shame the monarch suffered at the most inopportune moment, when he visited the Mohamed V mausoleum and before laying a wreath on the tombs of Kings Mohamed V and Hassan II, the King of Spain had the misfortune to stumble" and could even have hit his head, according to the media. He did stumble slightly, it’s true, but... Hit his head?
Also in question is a photo of Felipe VI, greeting passers-by, alongside King Mohammed VI, in an official car. Internet users even published a photo of Mr. Bean, greeting passers-by aboard a convertible. According to Elnacional, the King of Spain was annoying with his "so satisfied" air. One netizen ironically asked: "Who is it? Kennedy? or the Pope?".
It should be noted, however, that to restore the truth that Elnacional is a media supporting the independence of Catalonia and therefore criticizing the Spanish monarchy.
The official visit made by the King of Spain Felipe VI and Queen Letizia to Morocco took place on Wednesday, February 13 and Thursday, February 14.
