Moroccan Rose Festival Crowns New Queen in Kelaât M’Gouna Celebration

As every year on the occasion of the International Rose Festival, the organizers elected the Queen of Roses. And it is the young Soukaina Bamzil who won the votes for this 2019 edition.
For this 57th edition of the festival organized from April 24 to 28 in Kelaât M’Gouna, local and regional folk groups traveled the main streets of the city to celebrate the rose product "to the rhythm of songs and dances and artistic performances created by local and regional groups", reports the MAP.
According to the organizers, the festival "aims to shed light and highlight the intangible cultural heritage of this region of the Kingdom, the 3rd world producer of perfume rose".
In addition to the election of the Queen of the Rose, visitors also attended the Rose Fair dedicated to highlighting the Perfume Rose that characterizes Kelaât M’Gouna and "which contributes to the development of the region by revitalizing its economy and highlighting the potential it enjoys".
