Tragic Death of Young Girl After Party in Marrakech Tourist Complex

Foreign tourists, especially those from the Gulf countries, often organize drunken evenings in villas rented in Sidi Brahim and transformed into places of debauchery and prostitution. Private parties to which underage girls are invited and where drugs and alcohol are consumed without moderation, said the Moroccan Forum for Human Rights, denouncing the laxity of the Royal Gendarmerie.

"The city of Marrakech, known to welcome millions of foreign tourists of different nationalities throughout the year, requires the security forces and the Royal Gendarmerie in the tourist areas adjacent to Marrakech to strengthen their preparation to monitor these villas rented to foreigners and Moroccans to engage in prostitution and drug use," it is insisted.

The Forum has called on the security services to conduct daily patrols to combat this phenomenon which is growing in the suburbs of Marrakech, particularly in the tourist areas teeming with villas belonging to celebrities.
