Monday 31 May 2021, by Prince

The High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA) has issued a warning to Hit Radio for remarks made in the "Momo Ramadan Show" program that it considers "inferior, discriminatory and derogatory towards women".

HACA has reprimanded Hit Radio for allowing a guest to make misogynistic and sexist remarks on the Momo Ramadan Show program on April 26, 2021, hosted by Momo, whose real name is Mohamed Bousfiha, according to the website of the institution.

In a letter addressed to the company Hit Radio Maroc dated May 7, 2021, HACA condemned the remarks made during the show and decided to warn the company Hit Radio Maroc. "The company Hit Radio Maroc, publisher of the radio service Hit Radio, has violated the legal provisions and those of the specifications relating to the fight against stereotypical images that undermine the dignity of women, the protection and respect of privacy, and the obligation to control the airwaves," HACA said in a statement.

The Hit Radio Maroc company will also have to broadcast the press release available on the HACA website, ordered the supreme audiovisual authority in Morocco.
