Radio Host Momo Avoids Sanctions from Moroccan Media Regulator Over Controversial Comments

The High Authority for Audiovisual Communication (HACA) decided not to impose sanctions against the "Health Emergencies" program, hosted by Momo on the Hit radio channel, for reasons of freedom of expression.
The remarks made by the host, although offensive and humiliating in nature, are not addressed to any specific person or entity, the HACA points out, considering that freedom of expression, within the limits of the code of ethics, remains an inviolable right in the audiovisual field.
In addition to the complaint filed by the Association of Bank Employees, the HACA states that it has received more than a hundred complaints against the star host, accused of discrediting the banking profession.
The High Authority has thus decided to dismiss the case, limiting itself to issuing a simple warning to the host, in order to moderate his remarks during the next programs.
