Moroccan Prime Minister Akhannouch’s Fortune Drops $200 Million Amid Regional Wealth Decline

The crisis is also affecting billionaires. The Head of the Moroccan government, Aziz Akhannouch, one of the country’s largest fortunes, has lost some $200 million in 7 months.
According to calculations made by Forbes Middle East, 8 Arab billionaires have lost nearly $3 billion between January and last July. The one who lost the most is the Egyptian Nassef Sawiris, whose fortune has decreased by $800 million. The Omani Suhail Bahwan, founder of the Suhail Bahwan Group, lost $600 million, while his brother saw $200 million fly away, that is to say $400 million all the same.
Next comes the Moroccan billionaire Aziz Akhannouch, whose family has lost $200 million in 7 months. The same losses for the Egyptian Mohamed al-Fayed and the Qatari Faisal bin Qassim Al Thani.
The Emirati Abdullah Al-Futtaim and his family have seen their fortune decrease by $100 million.
The combined fortune of the 8 personalities analyzed by Forbes fell by 3.5% in 7 months, from $68 billion to $65.6 billion.
It should be noted that the Othman Benjelloun family left the Forbes list of billionaires this year.
