Morocco’s Agriculture Minister Tops Forbes’ Richest List with $2.1 Billion Fortune

With a fortune estimated at $2.1 billion, the businessman but also Minister of Agriculture Aziz Akhannouch is now the richest man in Morocco.
This is the result of the latest ranking of African billionaires just published by Forbes magazine, which also includes Othman Benjelloun, chairman of the BMCE group, with an estimated fortune of $1.7 billion.
In Africa, it is the Nigerian Aliko Dangote who is now considered the richest man in Africa with a fortune estimated at $10.3 billion. He is followed by another Nigerian, Mike Adenuga, whose fortune is estimated at $9.2 billion, then Nicky Oppenheimer ($7.3 billion), Nassef Sawiris ($6.3 billion) and Johann Rupert ($5.3 billion).
It should be noted that King Mohammed VI, whose fortune was estimated at $5.7 billion in 2015 by Forbes, is not included in this list.
