Moroccan Port Boosts Capacity for Surge in Overseas Residents Returning Home

A series of measures have been announced for the success of this operation to support MREs. These concern guaranteeing the comfort of travelers, reducing travel time, ensuring better fluidity of vehicle flows in both directions, expanding the shaded area and increasing the number of staff responsible for guidance and advice.
As the current period is too busy, the team of the Foundation has been reinforced by three mobile teams and a medical unit to ensure quality services, in terms of medical and social assistance, says Mourad El Menini, in charge of the "Marhaba" Operation at the Mohammed V Foundation for Solidarity.
Given the involvement of MREs and the clear success, the "Marhaba" 2019 Operation is entering its second phase. This plans the transit of more than 18,000 passengers and 5,000 vehicles, noting that the available data show an 11% increase in the number of passengers and 6% in the number of vehicles, compared to the same period last year.
