Moroccan Pop Star Arrested in Tangier Hotel on Cocaine Trafficking Charges
Targeted by a national arrest warrant, a Moroccan singer was arrested on Wednesday in Tangier by the city’s police services. He would be involved in a cocaine trafficking case.
The singer’s arrest took place in a luxury hotel in the Malabata area. After his arrest, he was taken directly to the headquarters of the Tangier police prefecture after the end of a concert he was supposed to honor. The Tangier police services then proceeded to place him in custody.
Weld Aicha was the subject of a national search warrant issued by the judicial police services of the Tangier police prefecture. His name was mentioned by suspects questioned by the judicial police as part of an investigation into a cocaine case.
