Moroccan Police Officers Arrested in Corruption and Adultery Investigation
Three individuals in Beni Mellal, including two police officers, would be involved in a case of corruption and adultery. The prefectural service of the judicial police of the city has opened an investigation.
A peace officer and a senior police inspector are implicated. They are suspected of having received money from a third suspect (apprehended in a tourist circuit in Beni Mellal) who is suspected of adultery, informs a press release from the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The two police officers were in possession of a sum of money that the investigators suspect came from the third suspect who was also arrested, the DGSN pointed out.
All three have been taken into custody for the investigation. Meanwhile, three other individuals, including two women, who were with the third suspect apprehended, are being sought for their alleged involvement in a case of adultery.
Pending the end of the procedure, the DGSN has decided to temporarily suspend the two police officers.
