Moroccan Police Debunk False Child Abduction Claim Against Expat Visitor

The elements of the Judicial Police of Mohammedia succeeded in elucidating the case of a false alert about the kidnapping of a minor child by a Moroccan residing in Italy. The denouncing mother had posted a video on social networks, accusing her of an attempted kidnapping.
According to the Hibapress website, the case dates back to Thursday, September 11, when a Moroccan residing in Italy had driven a 12-year-old child to her home, in her 4x4 vehicle. Suspecting an attempted kidnapping of a minor, the neighbors had alerted his family, who had surrounded the MRE’s house, calling the police.
However, in a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) denied the attempted kidnapping and specified that the child was not the victim of a criminal act.
He had accompanied the woman to her home, on his motorcycle, in order to help her with household chores, in exchange for a sum of money. The child had returned home the same day, the press release concluded.
