Moroccan Police Crack Down on International Botox Smuggling Ring

Alerted by Interpol, the Moroccan police are investigating a mafia that illegally imports large quantities of botulinum toxin "botox" and sells it on the market without respecting the prescribed health rules. It is striving to put an end to this smuggling.
Illegal importation of large quantities of botulinum toxin "Botox" from China, transit (Canary Islands), storage and packaging in Mauritania, transportation by road freight professionals via the Guerguerat bus station, to the major Moroccan cities. The circuit of the botox smuggling is very precise. At the head of this smuggling, a criminal network.
The worst thing is that "some health professionals are supplied by these smuggling networks to obtain the products at lower prices than in the normal and legal circuit," says Assabah.
Interpol has informed the Moroccan security services of the existence and activities of this network. Since then, the health and customs services have been mobilized to thwart any smuggling operation in this segment. In this sense, the same services are preparing to launch a campaign to fight against these smuggled products, which present health risks.
