Moroccan Police Bust Illegal Nightclub in Casablanca Villa, Arrest 50 in Drug and Prostitution Raid

About fifty individuals were arrested on Saturday in a villa on the Ain Diab coast in Casablanca. The suspects are being prosecuted for violating the state of emergency, prostitution, pimping, trafficking and consumption of alcohol and drugs.
According to a statement from the General Directorate of National Security, the investigation, conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, revealed that a villa on the Casablanca coastline, illegally converted into a nightclub, was welcoming clients of different nationalities. A place of debauchery, where alcohol and drugs were on the menu every day, the residence had security guards and waiters.
The police raid led to the arrest of 40 customers, including 2 Turks and 18 sub-Saharan Africans, in addition to the organizers, the statement said. These are a French national of Moroccan origin, an Ivorian national, 5 managers including 3 women, 2 waiters and 3 security guards from sub-Saharan Africa.
A large seizure was made during the search, the statement said. The defendants had in their possession 41 bottles of alcohol, 30 psychotropic tablets, cocaine doses and a large quantity of hookah tobacco.
