Moroccan Police Arrest 22-Year-Old Job Scammer in Chefchaouen

A scammer who was active in Salé was put out of action on Sunday, during a joint operation between the judicial police services of Chefchaouen and Salé. The individual is being prosecuted in a case of fraud, forgery and use of forgery.
Wanted on a national arrest warrant, the 22-year-old individual had managed to extort money from a young woman with a false promise of employment. To join the national security force, he had demanded 15,000 dirhams from her.
Equipped with a fake summons, the young woman presented herself at the police school in Bouknadel to begin her training internship. The scammer was long gone when the young woman realized the deception.
Arrested in Chefchaouen, the individual was taken into custody at the disposal of the investigation conducted under the supervision of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, pending his appearance before the courts.
