Two people suspected of being behind the murder of a man in his thirties in Meknes about ten days ago have just been arrested by the police.

In a press release, the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) indicates that "the prefectural judicial police service of Meknes proceeded, in coordination with its counterpart in Tangier and on the basis of precise information provided by the General Directorate of Territorial Surveillance (DGST), to the arrest at the end of last week of two individuals, including a 17-year-old minor, for their alleged involvement in a case of assault with a bladed weapon resulting in death".

On March 1, the police discovered the body of the victim who had been fatally injured in the neck with a bladed weapon, the police said, stating that these arrests took place in Meknes and Tangier.

The major suspect was placed in custody as part of the investigation, while the minor was placed under police surveillance in an attempt to determine the exact circumstances of the tragedy.
