Moroccan Police Arrest Five in Tangier Sextortion Ring

Five people accused of being involved in sextortion cases were arrested by the police in Tangier, according to the General Directorate of National Security (DGSN).
The main suspect, who was the subject of a nationwide search warrant for sextortion, was apprehended, the DGSN said, adding that the four accomplices were arrested in an apartment they were renting in Tangier.
On site, the police seized electronic equipment and mobile phones "used to record their victims in compromising situations in order to defraud them afterwards," it was reported.
Pending their appearance before the courts, the five individuals were placed in custody for the purposes of the investigation.
