Qatari Man Falls Victim to Online Sextortion Scheme in Morocco, Three Arrested

For having blackmailed a Qatari national, three young Moroccans were arrested and brought before the court of Marrakech, which has just sentenced the main suspect to one year in prison for sextortion.
While the fourth suspect was acquitted, the other two were sentenced to four and one month in prison respectively. Originally from Qatar, the victim claimed that the main accused had posed, via social networks, as a young woman and offered him virtual sexual relations.
Not seeing the danger coming, he fell into the trap. He was then the subject of blackmail and the suspects threatened to publish on social networks a video showing him in indecent positions. After making several transfers, he finally decided to take the case to court.
