Moroccan MP’s Phone Vanishes at AI Graduation, Found with TV Cameraman in Bizarre Mix-up

MP Mohamed Ouadmine of the Authenticity and Modernity Party (PAM) said he lost his mobile phone during a graduation ceremony at a prestigious hotel in Agadir. The device was eventually found in the hands of a cameraman from a public television channel.
Mohamed Ouadmine did not find his phone after getting up to take photos with the wali (governor) of the Souss-Massa region, during the graduation ceremony for the first cohort of young people in the NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) category, in the fields of digital technology and artificial intelligence. This training program, supervised by the "Digital Maroc School" in partnership with the National Initiative for Human Development, targets young people who are out of school, unemployed and not in training.
The PAM MP immediately reported the loss of the phone. The lack of surveillance cameras in the open space that hosted the ceremony did not allow the circumstances of the device’s disappearance to be determined. After several unsuccessful attempts to contact his number, Ouadmine, with the help of his entourage, managed to locate the phone, which was in the possession of a cameraman from a television channel. The latter profusely apologized, explaining that he had "accidentally" taken the MP’s phone from the table where he was sitting.
The cameraman claimed he had "no prior intention to steal" the MP’s device. After these public apologies, the parliamentarian preferred not to file a complaint against him.
